The process could be better but other than that it's one of these best places to take your scrap. I made $70 for some scrap I thought I would only get $20 for. The service was quick and the staff was knowledgeable.

Today I took my beloved 2006 Chrysler Town and Country 🚐 to its final destination. She was a good van that served us well for several years. All of the staff at West Imports that I dealt with were very nice and friendly. They made the process easy and I feel I got a fair price. I would highly recommend them and plan on using them again for all my recycling ♻️ needs.
My company was moving to 100% virtual, and we needed to get rid of a bunch of old cubicles. Mike and the team made it super easy. They dropped off the dumpster on time and in a convenient location. Had 42 pounds of #1 copper, guy said I had #2, it was clean copper wire ranging from #12 to #8 , DO NOT GO HERE , RIPOFF. #1 insulated copper wire consists of wire or cable that is clean, unalloyed, uncoated or untinned. It needs to be plastic insulated, or a gauge thickness of 16 or larger, all ends being cut off, insulation does not need to be stripped. #2 Insulated Copper Wire This category consists of unalloyed copper wire with a gauge thinner than 16. This includes heavy, double or plastic insulation. Wirings from electronics, extension cords, and other gadgets are acceptable. Number 2 insulated wires usually have tin and nickel coatings.

*Fast*Friendly*Downtown*Convienent* I've been to quite a few scrap yards between here and Raleigh, but this place...They have perfected the art of scrappin'! Especially if you're like me and do not particularly enjoy the rust, dirt, and pointed edges welcoming your arrival at the scrap yard. Park (once), dump metals in sorted bins, and watch the pounds climb the scale! Best part, every employee is helpful and patient. They do it old school when it comes to payment. No ATM here, just a good ole hand-to-hand money exchange from the cashier!

It seems like every time I go there I get screwed and two I don't see why there can't be two people to go back because some people are disabled and can't get out and do that but do scrap so I don't see why we can't do two people instead of one cuz that makes it harder for the other person they're very nice very friendly but the way they do things is not right because I just took in quite a bit of stuff and didn't get hardly nothing for it
If i could give this junkyard a - ⭐ i would after my visit there yesterday. We had a entire trailer full with a refrigerator, rear end, 2 hot eater tanks and alot if other metal and when we 1st went in the scales it said 8720lbs and after we unloaded we if course went back over the scales and it said 8820lbs so we thot the scale on the outside was broke but wen we went in to get r money we only got $21 where we should've gotten at bare minimum $100 and tbh i think its cuz we were females and they thot they could screw us over which they did but they lost business after yesterday I will not ever go back there again, i wish her old man would've went jn with her idk but never again.
