This place is awesome. The staff are professional and courteous. They took care of my needs, and with fair prices.
Gave decent price when I brought a full trailer load in. Drive in at your own risk, I realize its a scrap yard but 4 of 8 of my trailer tires were flat by the time i got home. I spent more than I made there, to buy new tires. That being said, its still my go to place when I've got stuff to scrap, just be careful and know the risk of driving all the way around

I had a bunch of old metal that I needed cleaned up. Called Chestnut Metal Recycling and they were quick with a large dumpster to take care of all my needs. After I was done I called them, they came to pick up the dumpster AND told me I had money from all the scrap metal. This was a win, win for me! Will definitely use these guys again. If you have these questions. Here they are saves you from calling them and they telling you abruptly over the phone they can't take your junk car. Do I need a title to junk it? Yes Do I have to be the owner of the car even if I have title? Yes I was trying to junk a car that my uncle left when he moved to a new country and he parked it in my yard abandoned for over 5 years now and I just don't know how to get rid of it I don't even really care if I get some money or 5 dollars to get rid of it. I just want it gone and this company didn't want to.
It was my first time looking for a company who can come get my van that I don't use anymore. I called up Michiana Junkers and was greeted by a friendly employee, I told him my make of vehicle and he quoted me a great price. He said he would arrive around 30mins, literally 10mins later he arrived. Really don't like leaving 1 star reviews but after dealing with the guys at the non Ferris metals side it's needed. Brought in 338 lbs of automotive wiring harness still in sheathing and with all the connectors and such. When calling before hand was told it would be $.80-$1/lb same with other yards as it's classed as #2 Insulated wire but has done business scrapping the shells of the cars harness came from at Paul's without issues befoe. Upon arrival it was graded as Christmas lights at $.15/lb. Management didn't care and also refused to return the harness though a ticket had not been cashed out as it has already started being processed less then 20 minutes after dropping off also refused to let me walk back to see that it had been started even offered to sign any waiver required. Auto yard itself is pretty nice with a decent though gets very muddy and messy.
Bobby was exceptionally fair and paid me top dollar for my car highly recommend
